Steerable Pulley
Belt
Technologies patented Independently Steerable Pulley, or ISP, has
been designed for an effective method of compensating for camber,
which is inherent in the metal strip used to manufacture metal belts.
Using either of two methods, the rotated
shaft method, or rotated collar method,
the steering collar of the ISP is easily
actuated to provide movement left or right across the face of the
pulley. This removes the need for pillow blocks, jack screws, or
other alignment methods. The system can be adjusted while in motion
as well.
